REGULATORY STATUS - Amerro Asset Management LLP ("AAM" /  FCA no 434932) has been regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and its predecessor the Financial Services Authority since 2005 to:

 

a)  deal in investments as an agent ( Art 21 Regulated activities Order 2001)

b)  undertake investment management. ( Art 37 Regulated activities Order 2001)

Managed accounts are not deemed alternative investment funds by AIFMD because they are not collective investment schemes.  Art 3 of The Alternative Investment Fund Managers Regulations 2013 below “AIF” means a collective investment undertaking, including investment compartments of such an undertaking, which— (a) raises capital from a number of investors, with a view to investing it in accordance with a defined investment policy for the benefit of these investors; and (b) does not require authorisation pursuant to Article 5 of the UCITS directive.
